OpenAI spreads GPT-6 Astra across its own channels and partner clouds
OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 Astra to a limited set of organisations and said access for ChatGPT paid tiers, the API and partner cloud platforms would follow over the coming days. This is likely to matter less for what the model is called than for where it is sold: OpenAI is again treating its own interface, direct developer access and other companies’ clouds as one distribution path. That suggests the pressure on Microsoft keeps shifting away from exclusive model access and toward the controls, budgets and deployment options around access, because the same model class is being spread across several channels at once.
